I have this small non-working Coby Progressive scan DVD player (model DVD224) to give away. The player does turn on, the tray does open, and it searches for the DVD; however, it stays there waiting for the DVD to play. So this is for someone who can fix these sort of things. It's probably something simple, but you most likely need to know electronics to fix it. Can only give this away tomorrow (Sunday), or Monday.
