I have a large window air conditioner to offer. YOU MUST HAVE A VEHICLE TO
PICK IT UP (see below). It's made by General Electric, measures 15 inches
high by 23 1/2 inches wide. Works perfectly, runs quietly, cools our large
bedroom with ease.
**If interested, please send me an email WITH YOUR PHONE NUMBER so we can
coordinate.**
The air conditioner does need a cleaning and possibly a routine servicing;
it has some dark-colored dirt inside the main vent that might be city soot
but also might be mold. I have a sensitive nose and can't detect any mold
smell but if you have acute allergies you might not want to risk it.
We're in Ft. Greene, near the park. You'll definitely need a vehicle and a
friend to pick it up -- it's heavy and bulky, weighing at least 80 pounds.
When I offered it before, nearly everyone who responded had no access to a
vehicle, despite my having included this instruction. (Then the one person
who was then supposed to come pick it up never showed.) Trust me, you really
can't carry this to the end of the block, much less to a subway station or
bus stop.
That said, it's a great working air conditioner that needs a new home.
Thanks,
Leslie
