This is an evaporative humidifier.
You will need to clean some parts in a bleach solution. (This is part of regular
maintenance).
You will also have to buy some wicks that absorb the water.
Then a fan blows air through the wicks thus bringing humidity to the surrounding
air.
It has 2: 2 gallon reservoirs, that you have to fill every other day or so.
