19.5" width, telescopes from 48" to 8' long. Use to help older or injured dog walk up steps or into car (rear SUV/ wagon). Carpeted ramp w/ non-skid tape. I used it for my post-back surgery dog; eliminated the need for me to lift his 85 lbs into the car.
