I posted this yesterday and haven't received a single hit, so I wanted to clarify: I have a microwave that needs a home. It's 10+ years old but still works well. The only reason we're getting rid of it is that our new apartment came with a microwave built in.
The clarification is this: The microwave's clock is broken, so there is no time display. All the buttons still work, so you can still press buttons and select cook time and cook power and all that, but you can't, say, watch the time count down. The only functionality that seems more difficult without the clock is defrosting. Reheating and making things like popcorn are pretty self-explanatory.
It's a Sharp Carousel, model R-409AK, 1.5 KW.
Let me know if you'd like to give it a home.
Thanks,
Kate
